iPhone JailBreak is available for 2.2

blog.iphone-dev.org | The man from DelMonte – He say Yes!:
There’s an app that’ll backup all of your jailbreak apps so that you don’t have to reinstall them all after the update, but I kinda wanna start from scratch.  Right now I can think of about 2 apps that I’ll re-install.  Well, maybe 3.

Crap.  It’s about 6, but it’ll still be easier for me to start from scratch.

Happy JailBreaking!

Jackass has NOTHING on this guy

Sarah Palin Turkey Incident: Does TV Interview While Turkeys Are Slaughtered In The Background (VIDEO):

So check it out… every year at Thanksgiving (America’s holiday celebration of how  we brutally subjugated the indigenous people of this continent), we eat a traditional turkey dinner.

Politicians like to pander to their constituents by getting on tv and offering a pardon to a turkey who’s presumably about to be killed.  It’s generally well received and cute, and is hard to mess up.

Unless you have the perfect combination of a completely clueless slaughterhouse worker and a seemingly vengeful cameraman colluding to make some of the best footage you’ll see all year.

Srsly.

Obama’s FCC transition co-chair is a WoW player – WoW Insider

Wow.  This is pretty damn cool :’)

WoW FCCObama’s FCC transition co-chair is a WoW player – WoW Insider:
by Mike Schramm
Nov 20th, 2008

I’ve had a political dream for a while now that I think all of us WoW players can agree on: someday, I hope, we will have a President in the White House that plays videogames. We’re not quite there yet, but we’re closer — apparently, Obama’s FCC transition co-chair is a WoW player, and has played in two different endgame guilds, including Joi Ito’s famous We Know guild. This is a guy who knows all about the communities that these MMOs create, and just how awesome it is to run through Karazhan, or grind PvP for a Merciless Gladiator weapon… and he’s been selected by the incoming President of the United States to run the FCC. That’s beautiful.

wth is the point of THIS?

Seriously. I don’t get it.

Wow. Obama on upcoming climate change conference. Awesome.

Nice to see the US taking some action to do our part.

“Denial is no longer an acceptable response.”

I think I might cry.

Daily Kos: State of the Nation (via post-gazette.com)
Word spread quickly last week through Sto-Rox High School when students learned that the administrative offices were filled with Barack Obama paraphernalia.

Students snapped up posters and stickers for their lockers, backpacks and bedroom walls, eager to commemorate the victory of the first African American to ascend to the nation’s highest office.

The enthusiasm excited administrators, but it’s not what brought tears to the eyes of Jean Schmalzreid, the district’s director of federal programs and special projects. That happened when she saw school facilities workers bring in dolly after dolly piled high with thousands of dollars worth of supplies donated from Obama campaign offices in Pittsburgh.

Six computers will be dedicated to creating learning centers for struggling middle school students. An all-in-one printer, copier and fax machine will hum all day in the middle school library. And the art department received piles of markers, paint and poster board.

This can’t be the first time this has happened, as I’ve personally arranged for corporate computer equipment to be donated to local schools, but what amazes me is that there’s enough media love for people to actively report on these good deeds, in an effort to show the world that yes, things are going to be different now.

FIN-A-EFFING-LY! An administration not run on money from influencers!

Holy fücking batshit.  I can’t even begin to express how much this impresses me.

Obama Transition Team Adopts Ethics Rules – NYTimes.com:
By BRIAN KNOWLTON
Published: November 11, 2008

WASHINGTON — A top adviser to President-elect Barack Obama said Tuesday that the transition team would raise about $7 million to cover its costs, supplementing $5 million in government funds, but would reject donations from lobbyists or corporations and rely instead on the same pool of small donors who helped propel the Democrat to victory.

Seriously:  how amazing is this?

[Edit] P.S.  How’s THIS for change?  Look back three years to see how Bush’s team was handling fund raising.
