I got my DS Lite this weekend :)
What a great piece of gear Nintendo has managed to put out. I’d already bought the New Super Mario Brothers game, so I knew I had that to look forward to, but when I got there, they had a special: buy two used games, get one free.
I picked up Nintendogs, Advance Wars and Mario Kart. Each one of them is a solid game, and fantastic fun. The variety is quite refreshing, and though they don’t all make use of the handheld’s unique capabilities, they’re fun!.
I’ve got a lot to do at work, so I won’t be able to get in as much time as I’d like, but I’m looking forward to getting to know these games in the near future.

Congrats. You got SMB before me at least – i”ve been playing Mario Kart and Animal Crossing too much to worry about it so far. So complains from me so far on the DS.

I was really close to getting Animal Crossing. That’s gonna be my next purchase, for certain. The buy-two-get-one-free was too good to pass up, though :)

Yeah – for certain. Too many games too quick is bad. Don’t know how nut is going to go when he has 15 games for the thing (including some GBA games)
Oh and while details are limited, an Australian retailer has started pre sales for the will….with a Bonus, when you pre order the Wii, and put down $50, they’ll give you a free game when you get it at launch, seems not sure if it’s a Nintendo promotion, or just the retailer, but only one store has that offer. And there are no detail on exactly what game you’ll get….

Oh man, that’s a great deal. I wish more retailers would do that here. =/ You can at least pre-order both the Wii and the PS3, but I haven’t heard of any offers of an included game for free from any retailers here.
