As I was heading out to lunch yesterday w/ the boys, we were about to hop in my car when I noticed the back left tire was flat.
Not low… flat.
Nuts.
“Ooh! Time to try out my Infiniti Road-side assistance! (free w/ the purchase of the car)
Lo & behold, Infiniti came through and got the spare onto the car w/ no complaints — all part of buying from an “upscaleâ€? maker.
Later in the afternoon, I head to NTB (National Tire & Battery) to have the flat fixed (it had a huge nail poked through the tread) after confirming that it should be an easy fix (and it was, but that’s not the point of this story). I arrived at about 3 in the afternoon, went to the reading room, sat and played my PSP for a while.
Time seemed to pass pretty quickly, and before I knew it, 2 hours had passed. I wasn’t getting skipped in line — the only people leaving were the ones that were there before I arrived — they were just really slow. *sigh*
Looking out the waiting room window, I had a clear view of the car bay, and when I saw my car roll into the bay nearest the window, I knew it would only take a few minutes to get me back on the road.
I’ll admit it…. I’m a bit narcissistic:Â I stood up, looked out the window to admire how the newly-tinted windows looked.
WHAT THE FUCK? THIS CLOWN’S LIFTED MY CAR BY THE SIDE SKIRT MOLDING!!!!Â
*sigh*
Yes, the manager apologized like nobody’s business.
Yes, they signed a document stating they’d pay for it to be fixed.
Yes… people are idiots.

I was upset the first time a brach scratched my Pathfinder. But that freed my mind. My Pathfinder is now 10 years old and has over 130K miles on it, and a LOT of scratches. I now have no hesitation to drive through dense brush or add modifications (eg, I screwed my Sirius mount to the dash). Get a crappy car, and free your mind!

LOL! I just got RID of a crappy car where I had no problems duct-taping the window shut just to keep the rain out!
Heh…. I suck.
