This is just insane…..
Google’s RideFinder keeps track of where the city’s cabs are and puts them on a Google Map (you DID know about Google Maps, right?).
I’m still not sure how useful this is, but I suppose it’d be nice to know who to call just as you’re walking out the door of your office, or something, but as a regular joe, wandering around town, you’re not likely to be able to take advantage of this on your mobile, so the audience seems really, really limited.
Neat, but….. I don’t see myself ever using this — I’ll probably forget it’s even there in the event that I’m ever in that chance situation where I could use it.
