So my Treo 650 arrived this week and I’m getting pretty comfy on it. It doesn’t *quite* meet all my needs, but as soon as the Blackberry Connect clent comes out, I’ll be all set.
This is the first entry written from my Treo, so maybe I’ll drop more frequent notes in from time to time.

Do you have to type with a pen or is it somehow possible to fit fingers on the keyboard?

The keys aren’t quite as bad as I thought they’d be, and I have biggish fingers. It’s not quite as nice as the Blackberry keys, but then, the Blackberry keyboard is too wide to comfortably one-hand type SMS messages while on the road.
So far, I’m REALLY liking how much more custom software is available for the device, and how much more Mac-like it is than Blackberry.
The one thing I absolutely miss is the Blackberry Connect client, which is supposed to come out “early 2006”. With the litigation between RIM and NTP settled, I’m hoping that’s still true. Having my mail, calendar and contacts info all synced in real-time over the air was a HUGE convenience.

It’s not too shabby, so far. The OS does seem really brittle, though. I get reboots about 3-4 times per day, which is slightly annoying.
