Fox Sets September Launch for ‘Firefly’ Blu-ray (UPDATED) | High-Def Digest:
Thu Jun 26, 2008 at 03:00 PM ETUPDATE:We’ve received word from Fox Home Entertainment that despite any online retail reports, the Blu-ray of ‘Firefly’ has not yet been scheduled. Although the title is planned for release, official confirmation of a street date is pending. We’ve updated our database in the meantime, and will keep you posted.
Now, in an early announcement to retailers, the studio has scheduled a complete series set of ‘Firefly’ (the show ran for only one season) on Blu-ray for September 23.

An official press release is expected shortly, so we’ll certainly keep you posted as further word comes to us.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray has been set at $89.95.
Doesn’t $90 seem like a lot? I don’t buy TV shows, so I’m not sure, but…. wow.
